Accommodations

  • Located in a private meadow, the spacious orchard house features four bedrooms, and a full kitchen. The living room has high ceilings as well as a wood burning fireplace. The great deck wraps around both the den and kitchen areas and has a redwood tree growing through it, as well as a beautiful mountain view. Each large bedroom has a balcony and sliding glass doors. The downstairs bedroom offers a king size bed, private entry, and a bathtub. This house is perfect for a large family, a group of facilitators, or anyone wanting to lounge in the peace and comfort of a classy mountain home.
  • Our Sangha house is a large modern four bedroom lodge with a full kitchen and two group size bathrooms with handicap access. The living/ meeting room has an adjoined deck overlooking a meadow with a fire circle, and a full-size terrace overlooking Monterey Bay.
  • On a quiet hillside, there are seven heated cabins with high ceilings and large sunny windows. A heated bathhouse for both men and women is nearby.
  • POL has campsites to accommodate 130 people. Some campsites are close to the cabins while others are secluded amidst the redwoods. There are a total of three bathhouses spread throughout the center,  one is conveniently located near camping areas.


Meeting Spaces

  • The Amphitheatre of the redwoods is a well loved ring of trees which provide a lovely setting for weddings, outdoor talks, performances, and meditation.
  • A fire circle available for evening get-togethers sits on a lawn near a large terrace with a view of the Monterey Bay. This area can be used as a stage for a band, a cabaret performance, family talent shows, wedding ceremonies and much more. Our retreat center can organize the set up of the lawn for any festive event.
  • For groups over 100 event tents can be rented for additional rental fees.
  • Additional meeting spaces include the common areas in both the Sangha House and Orchard House which each hold 20 or more guests. The Amphitheatre of the redwoods is a well loved ring of trees which provide a lovely setting for weddings, outdoor talks, performances, and meditation.
  • Enjoy meeting in the front half of the Tibetan Center for the arts known as the Round House. This inviting meeting space can comfortably hold up to 80 guests. We offer tables and chairs, cushions, and some back jacks for you and your guests and prepare the room as you would like. For larger groups event tents can be rented for additional fees.


Kitchen and Dining Hall

  • Our lovely dining hall seats up to 150 guests indoors. The indoor/outdoor capacity is 250 guests. A porch wraps around the front of the dining hall. A large outdoor dining area has both a BBQ/Outdoor serving area as well as a lawn equipped with pick nick tables (fancier options are available). The dining hall has sky lights as well as a wood burning stove. It is a fabulous space to decorate for weddings, themed parties and retreats. Some individuals choose to meet in the dining hall as well. Additional meeting spaces include the common areas in both the Sangha House and Orchard House which each hold 20 or more guests.   • Our industrial kitchen is fully equipped to serve up to 200 people. In some instances you may rent our kitchen to prepare your own meals.
  • Our Chef,Peter Marti, prepares nourishing vegetarian and non vegetarian meals using the finest locally grown produce. We serve fresh baked bread and organic green salads with lunch and dinner. Free-range meats are served at times and always available upon arrangement. We cater special events, such as weddings, and can accommodate a variety of dietary needs.
