Accommodations

  • Located in a private meadow, the spacious Orchard House features four bedrooms and a full kitchen. The living room has vaulted ceilings as well as a wood burning stove. The great deck wraps around both the living and dining area and has a beautiful mountain view. Each large bedroom has a balcony and sliding glass doors. The downstairs master bedroom offers a king size bed, private entry, and an en-suite bathroom. This house is perfect for a large family, a group of facilitators, or anyone wanting to lounge in the peace and comfort of a classy mountain home.
  • Our Sangha House is a large, modern four-bedroom lodge with a full kitchen and two group size bathrooms with handicap access. The living/meeting room has an adjoined deck overlooking the BayView Meadow with a fire circle, and a full-size terrace overlooking Monterey Bay.
  • On a quiet hillside there are seven heated cabins with high ceilings and large sunny windows. A heated bathhouse for both men and women is nearby.
  • POL has campsites to accommodate 130 people. Some campsites are close to the cabins while others are secluded amidst the redwoods. There are a total of three bathhouses spread throughout the center;  one is conveniently located near camping areas.

Meeting Spaces

  • Enjoy meeting in the front half of the Tibetan Center for the Arts - also known as the Round House. This inviting meeting space can comfortably hold up to 80 guests. We offer tables and chairs, cushions, and some back jacks for you and your guests and prepare the room as you would like.

  • The Amphitheatre of the Redwoods is a well loved ring of trees which provide a lovely setting for weddings, outdoor talks, performances, and meditation.
  • A fire circle is available for evening get-together. Located in the BayView Meadow, a large terrace with a view of the Monterey Bay and deck, this area can be used as a stage for a band, a cabaret performance, family talent shows, wedding ceremonies and much more. Our retreat center can organize the set up of the BayView Meadow for any festive event.
  • Additional meeting spaces include the common areas in both the Sangha House and Orchard House.

  • For large groups or special functions, canopies can be rented for an additional fee.

Celebration/Dining Hall

  • Our lovely hall seats up to120 guests indoors, with a greater indoor/outdoor capacity depending upon the nature of your event.  The hall features a redwood front porch, paved dining terrace, outdoor serving area, and a shaded lawn that can be set up with picnic tables or formal rounds . The hall has sky lights as well as a wood burning stove. It is a fabulous space for weddings receptions, themed parties and retreats. The hall can be used as an additional meeting space,or for yoga and dancing. 
  • Our Chef, Peter Marti, prepares nourishing vegetarian, vegan and non-vegetarian meals using the finest local ingredients. We serve fresh baked bread, local organic produce, free range, hormone/antibiotic free meats, fish and chicken.  We will work with you to accommodate your special needs and dietary requirements.
